PayTrace APIs are powerful software solutions that enable any software developer to integrate the power and functionality of the PayTrace payment gateway into their software.

JSON API

Our platform offers developers a fast and secure way to integrate with our API using authentication and JSON. All responses from the API, including errors, will be returned as JSON. The JSON API follows the REST (Representational State Transfer) architecture and provides dedicated URLs for each method with predictable responses. To ensure security, OAuth 2.0 is utilized for authentication and authorization. Integrators and developers can use HTTP verbs and response codes to quickly and securely integrate with our platform. PayTrace-defined error codes are included in all error responses.

Client-Side Encryption

The PayTrace JSON API supports Client-Side Encryption of sensitive data, reducing merchant and integrator exposure to PCI-compliance verification. Sensitive data is encrypted in the web browser of the submitting user using a JavaScript library provided by PayTrace; the submitted data can only be decrypted by PayTrace. The sensitive data is encrypted before the web form is submitted until it arrives at PayTrace's secure server, and the merchant or integrator never has access to the unencrypted sensitive data.

API Hosted-Secure Checkout Documentation (redirect method):

This secure hosted payment page can help minimize the PCI scope for your application by processing transactions and creating customer profiles (Tokenization). A silent post is returned to the developer’s web page with the standard PayTrace API transaction responses.
