Required Fields

The red * asterisk denotes whether a field is required.

Amount

This is the transaction amount. The amount should be entered as it would be on a calculator, with decimals, if necessary. It is the US Dollar amount you want to charge or refund your customer. The amount must be a positive number between 0.01 and 999,999.99 or your purchase ceiling amount, whichever is less.

Credit Card Number

The Credit Card Number must contain a valid credit card number from an issuer that is marked as accepted in your Processor Information section. The complete credit card number must be entered without spaces or dashes.

Expiration Date

The month and year of the expiration date are displayed on your customer's credit card.

For Forced Sales Only

A forced sale is a type of offline transaction that can bypass the authorization tokenization process that accompanies normal transactions by allowing merchants to manually enter an authorization code into the virtual terminal.

Approval Code

The 6-character approval code that was obtained offline when processing a Forced Sale. The approval code is required when processing a Forced Sale.

For Store & Forwards Only

Processing Date

...

The date on which a Store & Forward should be authorized and settled automatically. This is an optional field and may be modified before the transaction is processed automatically.

For Authorization Only

When placing an order, you have the option to authorize the key card for a specific amount instead of just completing the sale. This authorization can be for any amount you choose. Later, when you need to capture the payment, within 20 days, you can go to the Virtual Terminal and turn the authorization into an actual sale by selecting Capture Transactions. This captured payment will then be batched out overnight.

You can capture an authorization within a 20-day period.
You can capture the full amount or a lesser amount, but if you need to capture more than the authorized amount, you will need to run a separate charge.
